Our Simple Couples Costume

We’ll be setting up a photo booth at our kids’ school’s Trunk or Treat so when I spotted this pencil costume idea on Pinterest I knew it could be a great fit for me and the hubby! It’s on theme, totally kid appropriate, and so easy to make.

All this pencil costume took was an amazon dress (which I got on sale and can wear again), a knockoff pair of converse (comfy and I’ve already worn them a few times) plus a little DIY effort. I just used an oversized party hat from Dollar Tree and some construction paper to create the pencil tip. Quick, easy, and cheap!

For my husband’s look, I simply ordered a composition notebook sweatshirt. Easy, peasy! I’ll also be using a blue and red sharpie to create a notebook page out of a white t-shirt in case he gets too hot on the night of the event.

So what do you think? Good couples costume option?
