Shop the Looks: 1/9 Style Round Up
It’s my favorite day of the week, Style Round Up Day! I love sharing these looks with you each week and hope they inspire you to pull together your own outfits. This week was colder than it’s been as of late in Nashville (umm, major snow arrived!) so most combinations include layers and/or cozy pieces great for WFH days. If you’re in need of full on comfort while still feeling cute when running out to pick up kiddos, this post is for you, my friend.
Read on for four cute, but lazy looks!
First up is a layered look (and the only time I put on jeans this week) that I am seriously into. I started with a great pair of straight leg jeans with enough stretch to feel comfortable all day long and my gorgeous, fair-trade Tracie Hoodie from one my go to shops, LEV Apparel. To keep from feeling too casual (because sometimes a girl just wants to feel cute even if she has no where to go), I added a vest from my convertible blazer dress (VETTA Capsule) and some seriously old, well-loved black wedges.
The black statement earrings from Noonday Collection finish things off by repeating the some color of the shoes and by adding a little more interest to the overall look.

LOVELY STYLING TIP - In colder climates? This same look could be created with a puffer vest. Don’t have a vest option? Go for a full blazer layered on top. Just be sure it has stretch or is slightly large so the arms don’t feel too tight.

I was brining all the cozy vibes with this old gray sweater and my LEV Apparel joggers. This sweater is an old fast-fashion piece and is still one of my absolute favorites. Please don’t feel like your items have to be new to be of value in your closet. If you love it, wear it!
These joggers are true to size (slightly big), have a thick waistband which is oh so flattering and they are incredible easy to dress up. They’re definitely a great staple item if you’re needing a pair of joggers for your closet. And of course, they are fair-trade, 100% cotton and made by artisans in New Delhi.
And you can’t see them in the photo, but I’m also wearing my 14k gold plated stainless steel star earrings from LEV which are one of my absolute favorites. I even gifted them at a “Favorite Things” party this holiday. They are super cute and are the perfect go-to option when I’m not in the mood for my typical big statement earrings.
The tennis shoes are Nike and I run in them all the time, but since there also a classic color combo, I love that I can throw them on with a casual outfit as well.

LOVELY STYLING TIP - By front tucking a cozy, oversized sweater, you’ll instantly create a more put together look. Untucked tends to look more sloppy unless paired with skinny jeans or leggings.

I kid you not, I put on this look one morning for a work from home day and my hubby immediately said, “you look hot, babe” so I also wore this look out to our extremely rare date night and I may never dress up for a date again. Haha. I mean, stretchy pants makes it easy to stuff yourself with queso and chips. Total win.
This top was one of my very last purchases in 2021. It’s a workout tank from Girlfriend Collective and was my first experience with the brand. I absolutely love it! If I wasn’t on my 12 for 2022 challenge I would likely purchase multiple colors in this top. It’s an easy transition from fitness to casual wear which I so appreciate. I went with a medium which is likely too loose to be supportive for a workout, but is perfect for everyday wear.
I paired the top with my black and white Nikes and my most comfortable Zyia leggings. To dress it up and feel less like I was headed to the gym, I layered my Jenni French Terry Duster from Elegantees on top. I also threw on my all time favorite earrings, the Crescent Moon earrings from Noonday Collection. I’ve owned these for years and they are handmade by artisans in India.
When it got cold, I also layered my long tan coat on top and it is suuuuuch a vibe. (I’ll have to wear the combo again and snap a photo with the coat because it’s a great layered combination that will look amazing with jeans and boots.)

And finally here’s my snow day, trapped at home look: comfy, oversized sweater pair with gray pajama sweats and cozy socks. These may be pajama bottoms, but I’ve worn them out numerous times.
Here’s my tips for getting away with rocking overly casual, home wear on the go (as shown below):
Front tuck the sweater to define your waist a bit
Throw on some cute tennis shoes like this cheetah print inspired Adidas kicks
Layer! Add some pattern or color by layering a great coat on top.
Finally, add a beautiful crossbody bag and you’re on your way!
As a working from home mom of three, I’m always thankful for an overly comfy look I can wear to drop off kiddos and run errands without feeling like a slob. This is one of those easy to update options that I think we all need in our wardrobes.
