Shop the Looks: 14x14 Capsule, Week 2 Round Up
So hopefully you read the 14x14 Capsule blog post already and know what that’s all about. If not, jump back over here and review. My first week of this two week capsule challenge was during isolation with my littlest love so needless to say those looks weren’t noteworthy. BUT they were comfy - t-shirt + leggings, t-shirt + joggers, sweatshirt + leggings… you get the idea. By adding in a few additional items, I was able to take the ultimate loungewear vibes into cute, on the go looks.
I love how easy capsule wardrobes make getting ready. I stuck to neutrals which meant there was no hesitation on mixing and matching and each morning selecting an outfit was quick and oh so simple.
This collection is a combination of some of my favorite fair-trade items with some old fast fashion pieces still serving me well. As always, whatever I can link, is included should you decide to shop for yourself.
(I swapped out the sweater dress for an extra pair of jeans. This sweater dress has been in my closet long enough and I keep not wearing it so it’s now in my sell/donate pile.)
Here’s what I wore all week from mom-ing at home to client meetings to school pick-up to solo movie going. All comfy, all cute, all neutral and all totally my vibe.
MONDAY
Monday was a try-to-work-from-home day while the kids were out of school so comfort was a top priority. I love my LEV joggers and blazer because they are top notch comfort, but can easily make me feel put together. (Kinda a mom’s secret weapon, no?)

TUESDAY
Tuesday I went nowhere but school drop off and Chick-fil-a, but I still wanted to feel cute after a week of nothing but loungewear. This mock neck and leather jacket combo feels effortlessly cool and worked great for my work from home needs too.

WEDNESDAY
Wednesday was another work from home day. It was gross and rainy and my biggest to-do’s consisted of getting kids to their activities. So again, comfy, but cute is formula we’re working with and leggings layered with a great coat makes that easy to accomplish.

Zyia Black Leggings
Plaid Shacket Style Coat* (old Old Navy)
LOVELY TIP: When rocking all black and white, adding a pop of color with a bag or earrings is a great way to add some personality and fun.
THURSDAY
Thursday actually included a couple meetings which was the motivation I needed to throw on some jeans. These just arrived (after having to return the original size) and I decided to add them to the capsule rather than the original sweater dress option. I’ve long needed a non-distressed jean to throw in my wardrobe and I’m very pleased with the fit and style of these.
I love the color combination of the light gray sweater and tan coat. The gray is then echoed in my earrings and the darker brown shoes feel connected to my crossbody details.

FRIDAY
Friday included a client meeting (yay!) so I used my large tote (that hid my crossbody inside!) to carry all my home consultation needs. The black mock neck top with the tan coat feels super classic and put together making it a great option for client meetings. Once I was home, I swapped my shoes for the boots for a slightly more casual look.

SATURDAY
My hubby left town on Friday morning so Saturday called for nothing but comfort as I cleaned house, slung snacks, and watched Sing 2 for the fourth time. IYKYK.
SHOP THE LOOK:
Zyia Black Leggings*
(If I had left the house, I would have thrown on my black combat boots and either my tan or plaid coat. Easy peasy.)
SUNDAY
Normally I’m not one to tuck such a loose shirt, but with the cut of these jeans (and since they’re a little loose in the waist) I’m kinda loving this vibe. Another effortless look that is also super comfortable. I’m off to see a movie (alone!) this afternoon thanks to my sweet MIL, so I wrapped a sweatshirt around my waist for easy, cozy layering. And of course, a bag you can haul all the snacks in.

Graphic Sweatshirt
LOVELY TIP: When going super basic like a white tee, add layered necklaces for interest and to dress it up a bit.
What do you think? Do these 7 looks convince you that you can create enough variety even with a limited number of items?
