How to Style a Camo Jacket for Spring
I spent this weekend going through every article of clothing that I own in preparation for our upcoming move and I stubbled across a jacket that hasn’t been worn in I don’t even know when, but I hated the idea of donating or selling it. Ever been there?
So I decided, in order to justify keeping the jacket, I needed to style it in numerous ways and if I still don’t wear it in the next couple months, it’s gone.
Spoiler alert: I wore it today. I have sooo many outfits ideas for it. I’m keeping it.
If you also have an olive and/or camouflage jacket in your closet, here are some styling ideas to help you rock it this Spring.
Don’t have a olive or camo jacket, but want one? Here are a few options: Madewell, Banana Republic, Pact
Simple jeans and tank combo works perfectly with the camo jacket. The addition of leather heeled mules and brass earrings elevates the look just a bit.
SHOP THE LOOK:
This combo is one that I can 100% image wearing while in Florida (and basically sealed the deal on me keeping the jacket). The joggers are incredible lightweight and breathable and the tank is a workout top so no worries about wearing it in warmer weather. The black and brown accents from the earrings are repeated in the sandals pulling this casual look together.
SHOP THE LOOK:
Girlfriend Collective Tank (lots of colors)
Joggers (old)
And here’s another look that will be worn on repeat in Florida (even if the jacket is only worn when indoors). Perfect for casual Spring and Summer days, this combination includes a gray bodysuit, white tennis shoes, and cutoff denim shorts.
SHOP THE LOOK:
I don’t always feel confident in a body-con dress so I love that layering the camo jacket over this fitted tshirt dress gave me a bit more coverage for those days I need it. Adding a woven bag and white tennis shoes felt like the perfectly casual beach town vibe.
SHOP THE LOOK:
This combination feels like a great work meeting outfit. I love the black earrings paired with the black platform sandals. The white jeans feel perfectly Spring paired with a tan bodysuit and gold pendant necklace.
SHOP THE LOOK:
White Denim (similar)
Sandals (old)
And finally I decided to pair the utility style jacket with a feminine, flow dress. I love the juxtaposition of these two styles and can definitely see myself wearing this on a future day date with they hubby. For this look I opted for olive sandals to echo the color of the jacket.
SHOP THE LOOK:
Dress (old)
Target Sandals (similar black version)
If you have items of clothing in your wardrobe currently that you haven’t worn, but haven’t been able to part with, I highly suggest mimicking this practice. Pull out the item in question and create no less than three look using that piece of clothing. If in two months, you still haven’t worn any of those outfits, it’s time to part with the item.
